My sister has been on my mind a lot lately. No doubt because of the impending hair chop and how the last time I did this, it was for her. (Yes, we have an appointment, tomorrow.) But also it might have to do with all of the very sisterly-like love I’ve been blessed with lately.
Yesterday was the surprise delivery of Jannelly’s treats. And then today I was handed another package at my front door. It was custom-created by my friend BonaFideBetty, just for me! I am now the proud owner of a lined journal, with its cover showing a word-cloud from here in JulieLand.
After I got home from the pool and brought in our mail, I nearly sobbed with joy over a present Dan’s older sister Barbara made for me: a CD with wedding picture replacements! Plus, she included some gorgeous postcards of FoodScapes by Carl Warner. (HERE is his place.)
To all three of you, thanks thanks thanks. And then, thank you some more.
Your generosity and thoughtfulness have touched me deeply. No one can replace a sister, but you have helped me past this difficult spot, and given me the opportunity to not feel that wound quite so much today.
On our card altar we have received another gift. That of allowing ourselves the space to grieve and to heal and to simply have some rest.
“Angel Of Relaxation ~
Let go of desired outcomes and you will get what you want.
Everything will fall into place and become clear when it is meant to, so switch off and take it easy for a while. The Angel Of Relaxation has appeared in your reading to help you relax.
By keeping your focus fixed on all it is you wish to happen, you are, in a way, preventing the natural flow of events to unfold. Surrender any project or concern to the angels in the knowing that all is being taken care of. Focus on all you have achieved to date and on all your many blessings.
Take time to nurture and pamper yourself, and start to do more of the those things which nourish your soul instead of worrying about the future. By relaxing and letting go of desired outcomes, you create the space for the angels and the universe to give you what you want.
Trust!“
This couldn’t have come at a better time for me. And I imagine for many of you as well. Listen to our angels, and (as one of my witchy friends says) don’t over-work the spell. Release our desires, and our appreciation, out into the Universe. Letting go, and relaxing into the knowledge that it will all be as it should.

I never had a sister and I always felt like I missed out. Sorry you are missing yours. Glad you have such a great support system, though.
~
In many ways it’s like having a brother. In others, not at all. But sibling loss, no matter who or when or why or how, is difficult. Really, really difficult.

Before you cut your hair, a last report on the non-washing of it? And you have an abundance of sisterly love going on here. Fabulous! Great card message again today.
~
Perfect reminder, thanks.
I included it in tonight’s post.
…an abundance of sisterly love…
Yes, I absolutely do.

Oh, I like this. Especially love, don’t over-work the spell. Mum is an artist and always says, “Don’t muddy up the work.” Meaning when it’s done it’s done. : )
~
Yes, it’s the same! I love your mother’s phrase so much.
Done is done, that’s precisely it.

{{Hugs}} Sorry you’re missing your sister.
I’m excited to see the new do.

Thank you.
I’ve already showered and done some different things with it. Obviously a process. And it’s gonna be a fun one!

{{Hugs}} for everything! I’m glad that you have sisterly love flowing in from all directions.
Looking forward to pictures of the new ‘do.
I could have used the Relaxation card yesterday when I was freaking out. I have the potential to work in Mozambique, one month on, one month off, for six months. Really not sure about it. That plus the other stressors, you know?
~
WHAAAAAT?!
Mozambique? Hell yeah!!!
