Before I say anything else, I want to send our very heartfelt thoughts and care over there to everyone on the east coast. Dan is carving punkins, watching football, and monitoring breaking news. Fingers crossed that the storm moves on, peters out, fizzles along, and just in general causes as few problems as possible.

For a surprise Samhain gift Becky sent me this Dog Tarot deck. Dog! Tarot! Holy crap, this is so freaking funny. Super clever, and I cannot WAIT to show you more of it. (First I have to read the entire guidebook though.) Thank you, my friend, for thinking of me, for brightening my day, and for sharing this hilariously silly (but no less prophetic!) oracle.
Ironic moment for me? I had, not hours before this showed up, been thanking another beloved pal for the book-as-gift that SHE sent me. (In September. It somehow became “lost” in The Burrow, and I just now got a chance to sit down with it. Will be sharing that one too, it’s fabulous, as well.)
Last night while the boys were watching this
(and having GREAT fun), I was doing this (or trying to).
I only have 3 cookie cutters,
apparently.
My attempt, this time, was home-made* crackers. They’re edible. (Mostly.) And that’s all I’m going to say right now. (Recipe is from this book.)
*Home-made, because I can. In theory. I’m really just trying to eat as Clean as possible.
One more view of my life, then on with our daily message. This trio was right out our back door when I got up this afternoon.

We have two sets, or maybe family units, who wander on through the yard. One is a lot quieter than the other.
Sometimes a deck will call out to me when I walk into the card altar room, that’s what happened today.

After having a declutterer help me, I need to declutter. Just a few small areas, such as the desk that is too cluttered to work at right now. And starting on the 1st, I’m moving into eating healthy habit development, so I’d love to know more about this “clean food” thing you are doing. Mostly I’m just going to work on getting into the habit of preparing dinners for myself of healthy foods like vegies and lean proteins. So this care could help with clearing physical clutter but also with the mental clutter and with the food clutter.
I saw the moon from my window before I closed the blinds. It was lovely.

Nothing new on the food front, the same Clean Eating I’ve been talking about for a while now. (More than six months?) But I do have a new chart I’ll include in an upcoming post.

Okay, I’ll make the effort to do some de-cluttering in my space. Bleck. And yes I saw the moon, even with the cloud cover she made it bright enough to see outside. And I have to say she’s been keeping me away for several days now and I’m not happy.
Mother moon does not usually keep me up. I can sleep in full on sunlight, but lately I’m not sleeping well and she’s not helping me at all.
We have come through the storm. Power flickered, but didn’t go away. That’s a nice change. It doesn’t take much to disrupt power here in the boonies.

The moon was gorgeous last night, but then our desert sky has been bright blue and cloudless for a few days. I’m praying that Sandy lets up on the beating she’s giving the East coast. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm. I’m cleaning my desk. That’s de-cluttering, right? : )

No power here, but from what I can tell from the very intermittent interwebs I get and the battery radio we are doing so much better than many. De-cluttering will probably be storm debris for the next few days.

Dog Tarot – I love it.
I de-cluttered this weekend. I even went into the closet-my walk in disaster area. My house is feeling wonderful and it is all thanks to … wait for it … Why Nano of course. For a month all it is going to get is a cursory swipe so I have to start very, very clean.
