Our card altar room continues to be unhappy. There was another (minor) mishap this afternoon while I was in there, right before I left for my appointment with *A* (among other factors this caused me to leave the house slightly behind schedule, what I did NOT do was fall back on just jumping into the car, so I simply resigned my sweaty self elf to pedal faster, and was only one point five minutes late).
The daily draw we ended up with is interesting, especially in light of the fact that the room feels less than ideal right now. There is an unsettled attitude in there, and it might be seeping out. Not sure yet, but what I am sure of is that the past life issue I shared with you yesterday is slowly continuing to process and percolate* along.
*Can we still use that word if no one has even SEEN a damn coffee maker with a percolating top on it in over 50 years? I mean, we say “dial” a phone and that’s not been a thing since I was in elementary school.
I think we can unanimously agree on this issue though, because don’t we all just want to grab Toni by the head and grill him about his muse, loudly? Why this man insists on painting eyes so bewilderingly peculiar, like the ones below, I may never understand. Plus, this time we have the additional distraction where a fire broke out across the bridge of her nose. Jeez, good thing the words are so meaningful.
“Goddess Of Sacred Power ~
You are being encouraged to take a leading role in your current situation.
You are being asked by God/Goddess and the Universe to take a leading role with regards to a project or family issue you are currently involved in. The current situation is in need of leadership and direction. Sometimes, being too democratic simply doesn’t work. If you look at life honestly you will realise that everyone has their own opinion on how they think things should be done. It is not so much a matter of who is right or wrong.
What is important right now is that someone takes control. It is better to steer a ship somewhere, rather than have it drift aimlessly wherever the wind may blow. Have the courage to take a stand. Ask the Universe to guide you.
Lead lovingly yet with strength and follow the sacred power of your intuition.”
This one is very direct, and it makes a valid point. We all have our areas where we excel, our own individual gifts. Even if leadership is NOT among them, there are times in our lives when we NEED to step up, and as he says, steer the boat. Now is that time. We take what we DO do well, and we apply it to this task. This role of Sacred Power.
I also like where he reminds us to ask the Universe for help. We never walk this path alone, spiritually speaking. Our Team is in place, (something we need to keep in mind) standing by, always there. Always.
Asking for help is a gift as well, that act of accepting aid is a blessing, one we learn from every time it happens. As well as, going the other direction, offering help and following through with that process of being the one to lend a hand.
Here’s an affirmation that just came to me, an accompaniment, it seems, for this message:
I will be strong and patient as I lead with love, angelic help, and Divine guidance, so that this situation is resolved peacefully, quickly, positively, and for the highest good of all.

there’s a new post by Hanna, who spent the day with her boss Shane at THE FAIR! There will be photos, she says.

Bah for unhappy card altar rooms! FGBV’s to it, and to you in your efforts to make it happy again!
I did find my inner Torc, and forged ahead, leading the way and making good progress on a quote we’re working on. Tomorrow (technically later today, whatever) I will continue leading the way, and your affirmation, especially the part about patience will come in quite handy, as I will be communicating a lot with the ex/boss. Copying down to remind myself if/when he starts trying to take some of my recently reclaimed power. Thank you!

I never know WHY these things are given to me, but I love it when someone jumps in with “that was for me!” or finds anything the tiniest bit helpful.

I’m never comfortable as the leader. I like to take a more supportive role. Not sure what the card means for me but I’m sure it will come.
Sorry about the card altar room. What does it need to be happy?
~
It needs the tabletop to be expanded/enlarged and the Leaning Tower Of Emma’s
ShitValuable Personal Belongings
to either get gone or get better arranged.

Sure you can use percolate. My MIL has a percolater she hauls out for every large occasion. And a rotary phone. Have at it.
Also, I’m hoping you feel settled very soon.
~
Whew!
Thanks.

Other things percolate. For example, rain percolates into the ground. That’s the technical term used.
I’m only in a leadership role with myself: there’s no one else to lead here! Best I can do is try to sound like a leader in my cover letters to the jobs I’m sending resumes to.
~
The only usage I’ve ever heard of was with coffee.
Good to know!

LOL! I totally forgot about those old coffee pots! And percolate is a good word, so use away.
You know, I would never have gotten past the illustrations to buy that deck. You don’t seem to be too thrilled with them either, so I’m curious as to what made you grab the deck?
When a ‘spot’ or room is bothering me that much, brace yourself, the only way to fix it for me is to take it apart, clean it, rearrange, and do a reset. Yes, those words actually did pass my lips. (I’m practicing as I’m trying to take back the house.) Maybe you need to take a day or afternoon and reconnect with the room.
~
I explained this, Robin! Lol, the compulsion to own this deck WAS the draw of the words.
And also, I didn’t see the ENTIRE deck before I bought it. No one local carried it so I went directly to his (Australian) website. I am still very pleased with it over all, there are simply a few of the illustrations that I don’t need to look at (or feel the urge to ridicule). And, some that I won’t show here.
Ha, not a chance in hell I would EVER deconstruct a room. Haven’t done it in the first 51 years, not likely to be happening (voluntarily) in the second 51.
I’ll just wait it out. Or eventually tote her things over to the gym and leave them in the middle of their floor.

You know, whenever your wisdom opens a door for someone to walk though, you were technically a leader. Your cards are your baton.
~
Oooo, how poetically well put.
Thank you!

The kids have a percolator coffee pot that they take camping. I tried making coffee that way once and suffice it to say. Epic Fail!
I just learned how to use those a few years ago. Filters! And the coffee is just awesome…or maybe its just that it is outside.
Once upon a time in an evaluation I was said to be a leader. Even years later I’m still stunned by that. I’m such a sheep. : ) Okay, so take the lead. Steer the boat. Wonder where we’re headed?
~
I can see leadership qualities in you, it’s your strength that shines through.

^^what fokker said^^ I’m not very visual, I’m too much of a word person. So I would never even notice the pictures if you didn’t point them out. I agree, she has creepy eyes. But otherwise, this is a great card. I was in one of those New Age spirituality groups back in the early 90s and we weren’t going to have a leader because it was patriarchal and heirarchical and we were beyond all that. But it didn’t work, because pretty soon the people who are natural leaders take over anyway. I’m not a great leader, but there have been times where even I’m a better leader than no leader at all, so I know how this feels. Hate it, but sometimes you just have to step up to the plate. That’s why I love being around people who *are* natural leaders, because it allows me to avoid taking on a role I don’t like.
~
I tend to be both, and neither: word/picture.
The Birth To Three group I was in with J.D. was fairly new age-y too, but we had rotating facilitators. Worked great. And I’ve been a fan of that method ever since.

Yeah, things have been unsettled here also, although I know the cause of my own disquiet. It’s just so much energy to deal with it, you know? I don’t have it in me right now to handle the negativity, it’s easier to manage it. I know, I know, I need to just suck it up and do it. *insert heavy sigh*
~
Sometimes we NEED to set this shit on the back burner so we can gather the strength to deal with it. Rest now, then, when you’re ready, power your way through!

Hmmm. I’m not sure just what I’m supposed to be leading, but I’ll be sure to take charge as necessary.
And that face is truly bizarre.
Sending you FGBVs just because.

Energy, vibes, and love are always welcome.
(Because when we sent them, we get them back. Threefold.)

Yeah, I am one of those people who can’t stand a vacuum, and end up bossing folks around…or leading…mostly just directing, I guess. Asking for and accepting help is one of this life’s lesson paths for me.
And the drawings are freakin’ weird.
~
To say that YOU are a “born leader” is to VASTLY understate the obvious. The reason you end up in charge is because you do it so damn well.
Now, just work on that other lesson, and you’ll be oh so super-hero-esque.
