What do you do when someone says, “don’t go there?” Do you go anyway, just to see for yourself elf? We do. And that’s what is happening tonight. There is a restaurant in town that I’ve been wanting to try for a really long time. I asked the in-town kids to meet us there. Empress had other plans, so she can’t make it. Jade has other plans too, but they are later in the day. Or, night, rather.
He’s going to a birthday party. With a theme. He came by to borrow a belt buckle. The better to complete this outfit.
Yes, Max is there too. I went for the Two-fer again. Daily Dog plus my son wearing an outfit that I simply can’t wrap my head around.
Did I mention that I’m pre-writing this? Well, I am. Hopefully we’ll be back in time that I can give my own review of the meal, but if not, here’s our card.
”Rise Above Problems ~
When you are in the middle of a problem, the solution often evades you. See your situation from a higher perspective, and you may see a new way out.
Have you been feeling frightened by a seemingly insurmountable situation? Your fears and tension may have created a negative obsession, where you think about the problem continually. Although you search endlessly for solutions, none seem forthcoming, and hopelessness creeps into your consciousness.
Whether your situation seems big or small, this card asks you to step back for an instant so that you can better see creative solutions.
Instead of continually working on the issue, mentally see yourself giving the problems to Heaven’s waiting hands. Like completely letting go of an envelope that you are mailing, surrender the issue entirely. Then, imagine how the fairies might see your problem.
How would your problem look from their perspective? Feel the sense of faith and hopefulness that they lend to you, and know that these positive emotions fuel the complete resolution of the issue.
Affirmation:
My heart, my mind, my life, and everyone in it are perfectly at peace right now.”
So much like yesterday’s message, don’t you think? Even if we may not instinctively associate with that fear mentioned initially, keep the affirmation in mind. Because, like the previous sign from the Universe, we aren’t directed here for no reason. Maybe we’re obsessing over something more than we realize.
I want to leave you with this great photo from earlier, while we go grab dinner (which may or may not be interesting and edible).
This item was in a yard we walked past. No feathers on the ground, but then, it was hot out, so I may have missed ‘em. (We trudged over three miles, all up hill, it seemed.)

Healing With The Fairies Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue
LateNight Eatery Review:
Evergreen Indian Restaurant, go there! It’s WONDERFUL !
Also, saw the feather on our post meal wander (with a lovely tour guide, thanks Charles!) and Dan spotted a Tennessee plate.
(Seriously, Jade. That hat.)

Ha ha! Lookin’ sharp! That is what some people in my hometown actually dress like on a daily basis. Except with boots to compliment the hat. Not even kidding. Max needs a hat to go with that outfit.
Lovely card and message today! I love this drawing… except, ballerina fairy looks to be missing a foot! Great message for me right now, though! and, a wonderful affirmation… soothed my energy just reading it.
Glad that you ignored the “don’t go there” assvice and found a great place (and the daily feather)!
~
We’re discussing boots. But, the entire “costume” is so disturbing to me…… which he finds HILARIOUS.

ohhh, Doreen. Such a condescending tone, but such the perfect affirmation right now, and what a pretty card!
Looks just like Garth Brooks to me! lol Hope he had fun!
~
Our first thought was Clint Black circa 1985, but yeah, Garth works too.

You know I obsess about what I don’t have in my life right now (such as paying work). So I said the affirmation and felt better. I’m starting to do little things that can help me. It will be well.
And JD looks quite the hunk in his cowboy outfit. i hope the young women flocked to him.
~
One, I continually HOPE that there are flocks of girls, but B: don’t think I’d actually APPROVE of any who would be drawn to this look.

It looks like it might be a fun party. Although Max doesn’t look like he wants to go.
I never pay attention to what other people say about restaurants or movies. Sounds like you had a good meal. I miss Indian food. Of course I had an Indian husband who taught me to cook it, but I’m too lazy.
I have been obsessing over something, lately. I’ve kind of let it go, though.
I had to enlarge the pic to see the aligator but it certainly is bizarre.
~
We heard from a few folks that this was not a great place, but I really had my heart set on it, so we ignored the negative votes and proved them wrong. We are SO going back!

Yay! You’re still here and I’m back! (And caught up as well!) I came home Sat. to no internet -again- and no office hours on the weekend which meant I couldn’t get ahold of anyone till Monday. Now I have internet, but the cable service for the TV is out. *sigh*
So I looked at Hanna’s pics from the fair. Who’d they get those awesome freckles from? I loved the picture with their heads together.
And what is wrong with JD’s hat? Hmmm? I have a beautiful brown one downstairs. He definitely needs a proper pair of boots.
Like the card. I’ve been banging my head against a few things here lately. Guess I should take a deep breath and step back.
Saver of Bugs is home. We hit a ‘Nature’s Nasties’ class at the state park on Sunday and enjoyed being out in the air.

Freckles on both sides. I have them, but neither of my siblings do/did (one of my mom’s brother’s and 2/3rds of my dad’s sisters). Dan’s youngest sister is the winner though, and that’s a funny thing right there. My brother’s oldest, Holly, and I were discussing this phenomenon recently. Wanna know who your daughter will be most like, resemble more than almost ANYone else? Look at your husband’s sister(s). Her! Without fail. I have generations of evidence to prove my theory.

I think my reply got eaten. Try again. (Late night for me again. Gotta quit this.)
My daughter looks more like my husband’s sister than me. However, I look nothing like my aunt. I look like my dad and his mother. But we have some seriously screwed up genes.
~
My theory probably can’t hold up under excessive screwed up-ness.

that card lines up perfectly with something I’ve been thinking about lately, adding a slightly different perspective that is helpful, even with the slightly condescending tone. Thanks. and JD looks awesome. and I wish I could come try your Indian food, that is one of many types of food we can’t get around here.
~
We walked RIGHT PAST that place when it was me and your boys on campus. But I wasn’t sure about it yet, so it wasn’t a viable option. Next time you’re here, we’re going!

You know, I think that look suits him, oddly enough. (Yes, I’m still lurking.
)
~
I have been experiencing these very STRONG and very disconcerting flash-back feelings every time I looked at him dressed like that. It feels totally past life. And as you said, for some strange reason, the look kind of suits him.

Mmmm, Indian food. I was just thinking about making curry this week for dinner!
~
Oh! Dan was supposed to make me a curry too. We went out. But it’s still on my list.

(Seriously, this place was delightful. The flavors of each dish were outstandingly good. Rich and aromatic. With tons of vegetarian choices. This may become my new favorite place. So many more options I need to try from that menu.)
