This evening Dan was chatting with one of our favorite life guards at the pool. She has just graduated from college and is starting an incredibly wonderful new chapter of her life. She’s funny too, very snarky (only ONE of the reasons we adore her). She’s moving to Portland in two weeks, and we’ll really miss her.
It was such a wide-ranging conversation, and yet it mostly was based on Life, and where it takes us. She told us how close she was to going into EMT training, instead of her chosen field (financial adviser for folks who are losing, or have lost, everything). As they talked it made me think about how we live with the assurance of safety. Or rather, I do. The two of them, in their current paying jobs as service folks, are like an insurance policy for the rest of us.
I walk around, or bike along, or splash in place, with no fear. It’s simply not in me to be afraid. I know we’ve talked about this before, and that some of you come from a different perspective on this. But it came up in the cards and it came up in the water. And you know I’m simply the radio here.
“”You Are Safe.
Archangel Michael:
‘I am protecting you against lower energies, and guarding you, your loved ones, and home.
Let go of worries, as I am surrounding you, your loved ones, home, and possessions with powerful loving light. This light repels lower energies, and attracts loving experiences.
Focus on this light and love – instead of on fear – as you will attract the object of your focus. With your mind free of fear, you have additional time and energy to devote to your life’s missions. You are free when you are fearless. Know that you are safe at all times, and that my protection is flawless.’
Working with Archangel Michael:
Michael’s chief role is to escort away lower energies of fear. If you become worried or anxious, mentally ask Michael to bring you peace. You can also ask that he clear your home, office, vehicle, or community of toxic energies.
After you call upon Michael, you will likely notice a warm feeling. That’s because he has a fiery warrior spirit. You can ask Michael to stay with you continuously, as he’s able to be with everyone who calls upon him simultaneously.”
Cartoonish illustration aside, I love this card. And this angel. The symbols are strong, as is the message. Recently, when a friend was having some issues around protection I reminded her to call on this angel, or any angels really. “They live for this shit,” I said. And it’s true. THIS is their purpose and their life. Not only are they here to help us, but they are SUPPOSED to be doing that. Be safe, go everywhere with angels. To be fearless is to be fully alive.
Right before we left tonight I walked an envelope across the street to our mailbox. And saw this.
There were two of them, literally, in the middle of the road. Talk about living with no fear….
These shots were sent from Daniel’s phone. Which, I might add, he adores more than can even be expressed. Thank you, once more, Cousin Brad (even though I know you aren’t a regular reader, your mom and auntie are, and they can pass along our additional gratitude).
They were waiting for me to be ready. Aren’t they patient? And how do you like the new (tropical!) swimming shorts we bought for my Beloved the other day? Picked up two pair on a Sale rack, this is the pattern I chose. I’ll try to get a picture of the ones he selected. Very festive, both of them.

Lovely line & lovely card message (despite the over-idealized hunk-o-Michael).
It just trips me out that you have wild turkeys wandering around your neighborhood! That is really cool!
Maximum hotness!
~
I wish I could bring you some next month. We have WAY more turkeys than we need.

We used to have a flock of wild turkeys that would parade through the yard, but I haven’t seen them for a few years. Have you ever seen them fly? It’s really pretty funny since they are so awkward and large.
Nice shorts! Cute dog!
Sending you soothing, calming and uplifting ocean vibes from the beach.
~
Thanks for the beach energy, and yes these turkeys fly. Even funnier to HEAR them on the roof from inside the house!

Plenty for both of you!!
Mrs. Denial was visited by a wild turkey last “November who came knocking, knocking, tapping at my sliding door” and with no apologies to EAP coined The Turkey, who was asked “are you here for dinner?” but “happily left no token”. I will have to get her to send it on. It is really funny.
Yep, that’s my Angel. And I love Dan’s trunks. I have a soft spot for trunks like that.
~
I remember that! VERY funny.
Isn’t that the BEST print?!

My mother’s neighbor has not been well for a long time and got into putting food out for the wildlife. As in, major money like they had a kid living at home, amount of food. Ever-ree-thing comes to eat. But the constant traffic, with deer and turkeys being the nasties, have turned their yard into a dust bowl. (Turkeys can rip up an enormous chunk of your yard in just one afternoon.) The neighborhood is on the side of the hill. This means when it rains that all the water coming through their yard runs both into their house, causing minor flooding and down into my mother’s yard. With the mess and the smell, turkeys no longer thrill me the way they used to.
Love the message, but that illustration is a bit much. Not the way I think of Michael at all.
Cute Max, even when hot!

Those type of people are the saddest. They think they’re doing something good, but in reality, they are NOT. As evidenced by the erostion. Wildlife really doesn’t need us to feed them. We’ve already messed up their environments enough, thankyouverymuch. (Birds are a different story all together.)

Wild turkeys are interesting. Smarter than the domesticated version. I never saw one before seeing one at my friend’s house in San Jose a few years ago.
The trunks and the dog look great.
The picture of Michael is a bit Fabio, but it’s a great card description. I like it. I’m even happy to say I think this card is very applicable to me, given that I have tended to operate my life on the fear-and-anxiety principle. So go Archangel Michael! Help me out, please!

Fabio! Exactly.
But otherwise, yep. Ask anytime, all the time.
