Hopefully none of you are showing up at exactly five to eleven tonight, because if you are, I’m not here yet. The post is going up tardy. It happens. We live with it. (That’s 2.o speaking, in case you hadn’t noticed.)
Here’s why I’m belated this evening. There was a national event taking place, and I was part of it. Okay, I was a spectator, but wow, it FELT as though we were all involved.
My amazingly generous (and well prepared*) pal Barb was kind enough to invite me to keep her company, while her son and HIS friend sat in a fortuitously GREAT set of seats up near the award podium. (Seriously, it could NOT have worked out better for them, or us.)
*It sort of sprinkled off and on, but I held the big rain back pretty well. Sadly, I was dressed for hot and dry, and neglected to bring more garments. SHE toted a purse AND a bag with extra clothing.
The above view is me (and the borrowed jacket) in front of Friend. He is a super wonderful kid, we were both appreciative and delighted to be in such lovely company.
I couldn’t leave out the Mermaid water could I? No. Obviously not. (We just thought this was pretty cool, the track club was aiming for a trash-free event, everything was recyclable and refillable.)
Tomorrow I’ll explain this picture (above) but for now, let’s see our card.
“Australian Agate ~
perception, strength, courage, stamina
Your power of perception, along with your mental and physical body is presently being strengthened. This will give you the courage and energy required to tackle what seems at present to be a complex and somewhat insurmountable problem.
This problem involves someone who is incompatible with your ideas and principles. You are being urged to stand your ground, yet keep your calm. Don’t allow yourself to be psychologically or emotionally bullied. All concerned will soon realise the truth of what you have already known for quite some time – that this particular person is simply not the person who they present themselves to be.”
If this doesn’t ring entirely true with you, don’t discount it entirely. Look at it from a more physical, rather than emotional, angle. The key words immediately struck me, as they sometimes do. This time, it was evident that what I saw on that track today was something very special, history in the making.
So, unfortunate-person-in-my-future or no, I was reminded, by this card’s very presence, that there was something wonderful happening all around me. Take this definition as you need to. Focus on the descriptor words, or delve deeper. Let go of what doesn’t feel right. Just remember, we can never know everything, especially what might be right around the corner. Or right in front of us.
