Totally Worth It.

Brevity is the way of things this evening, because dudes!  I am on my way to meet a friend from afar.  Well, eventually.  My class first, then our meet-up.  And speaking of friends, have you all gone over to see Bona Fide Betty’s newest post?  She needs some up-lifting, and we are just the group to help her out.

cousins

Jannelly!

Well, that’s my cousin (on a bike).  There was much more to this story, but I have been trying to get all of my pictures imbedded for over an  hour.  (So much for my rushing through this post.)  And I just can’t get shit to stay where I put it.  Yeah, it’s THAT kind of day.

Something is very wrong with WordPress, so let’s try again.

“Worthiness  ~

Know that you deserve to receive good in all ways.

You have been blocking your manifestations due to deep-seated beliefs that you don’t deserve them.  Manifestations are not rewards for good behavior – they are effects of your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and actions.  When you allow yourself to receive, you help with God’s plan to demonstrate love everywhere.

Accepting Heaven’s assistance isn’t just about you personally; it is about allowing yourself to be helped so that you can help others.  Accept good graciously, and affirm:

thank you for gifts that have come to me now.  I gratefully accept them for the good of all.”

When I transcribed this (the first two times) I added several pithy and intuitive remarks plus some excellent insight.  All of which have now fallen completely out of my head in the trauma of losing the post repeatedly.  Apparently I can’t get it back, nor re-do it.  So, all the usual disclaimers apply, switch what you need to, substitute the words that don’t work for you.

finding feathers

Meaningful.

This shot, above, was sent from Anna‘s phone.  She spotted two yesterday, and was generous enough to share with us.

out of town sightings

Canada?
Yes.

Also from yesterday, Dan took this picture.  About an hour after last night’s post went up he remembered to e-mail it.  Oh well, it got here.  Eventually.  (Wave, wave!  Hi BC pals!)  And it actually worked out well, I had nothing foreign to report.

porch dogs

Basking.

As you can see, the sun has returned.  A lot.  I had to sneak up on him to get this shot.  He heard me, of course.  But he didn’t care.

LateNight Check In:

just got back from hanging out with Barb & Co.  We’ll have pictures tomorrow, and stories too, no doubt.  Thanks for the shared food and the fun!  See you at the shuttle stop.

LateNight Text From My Son:

Based on a conversation with an inmate, I just wrote a maintenance request.  Problem as described:

“Cell is haunted.  Non-corporeal spirit, manifesting as disembodied ethereal voice.  Possibly female.   Unknown if harmful.”

I love my damn kids so much!

  1. Okay that text is really funny.
I thought about you today. There was a female driving beside me. She had her seat kicked back to almost sleeping position and she was texting or something on her phone. She was weaving on the road a little. I thought, wonder if she’s from around here? Sure enough not. Illinois license plate.
Hope she made it wherever she was going okay. Scary.

    ~
You should have honked at her. That’s deadly, not simply scary. :?

  2. Worthiness has a wonderful message… I have been working on allowing the flow of physical abundance to run through me, but I seem to have undiscovered blocks, as both you and Henry’s messages have now pointed out (yes, he’s back to daily readings, and you two are in sync again… today he drew Osho’s Suppression, and Doreen’s mermaid Wave of Prosperity… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB63R0CZ9bM&list=UUWJUbweIFXsBkb2m5OsTp-g&index=1&feature=plcp ). Hmmm, well clearly I have been pointed in a direction of self-exploration & block release! So sorry your original pithiness & insight was lost in the electronic void!

    Thanks, Anna!

    Maximum sun enjoyment!

OMG, J.D. cracks me up! You might love him, but I can only imagine the maintenance people’s feelings on the matter may be a bit less positive. Frickin hilarious!

    ~
Damn, I am so behind on Henry’s messages. (His new haircut bothers me, he looks too different.) I’ll catch up though, I promise!

    • I was not at all pleased that he cut his hair… I like it much better long… but, I have gotten used to it, after watching several vids with the new do. I’ll keep you posted whenever you two sync up, cuz that’s always fun. As for the personal stuff, I can email you a run-down summary… or would you rather watch it yourself?

      ~
Your choice. We leave tomorrow, so I don’t know when I’ll get to it. :(

      I need more damn hours!!!

  3. Yep, love the text JD sent. I never got to report a haunted cell in the time I was there… Maintenance will probably get a kick out of it. Maybe he should ask for Sister Margaret.

Nice to have the sun back, hope you guys had a fantastic time, and really great message.

    ~
    I thought of her too!

    • I strongly considered that. I would have marked it for a CC to the chaplains, if that were an option.

Who can we talk to about making these things more “spiritually” friendly? This sounds like an issue to me. ;)

  4. Thank you, Julie, for the shout out and the lovely mermaid card. :)
I love you bunches. SO glad you had a great Betty evening.
Also, the haunted cell text is brilliant, squared. LOL!

Any time. All you need to do is ask. :D

(Wait until you see what he wrote to ME today! It will be worth the wait, I promise. My kids are not only cute, but they’re freaking hilarious too.
    Barb even agreed with me.)

  5. So, I have to confess that I didn’t *actually* submit the maintenance request, as such. I shipped it via interoffice mail to my SGT, who has a very good sense of humor. There *is* a possibility that he might forward it, but I’m off for a week, so I won’t know until I get back. With my luck, I’d wind up getting called into the Captain’s office to explain why I was wasting resources or something, and even *I* might have a hard time maintaining that I was acting in good faith at that point.

All of which being said, it was still friggin’ funny, especially considering the brief report I wrote detailing the conversation.

    ~
    You documented it,
    and shared it here,
    and (most importantly)
honored the person who was experiencing it.
    That’s all that matters.

    • Well, I spent an hour or so today on documenting a parking citation dismissal that was pretty interesting. Nothing like the squeaky wheel. And I killed a few trees sending a copy to all of the chain of command. I like the haunted cell better.

      ~
We ALL like the haunted cell better, but we go with what we get. Today yours was parking shit. Maybe next time you’ll get the voices from beyond the grave.
      (We can only hope.) ;)

Doing a bit of wrestling with worthiness myself. Always good to have an outside reminder. Love the text too :-)
Off to support Bona Fide betty!

  7. The shame course I took (and the book) talk about worthiness/unworthiness related to feeling not good enough and similar feelings. All related to shame. Remember, that’s a lie, though. You are a good person. You are good enough. It’s fantastic and very powerful stuff.

I like how the card says that manifestations “are effects of your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and actions”, which is what my cognitive-behavioral book says, too. And your thoughts and beliefs are what trigger feelings and actions. For me, there is work involved here to get everything into appropriate alignment. Not sure how it is for everyone.

This whole thing was beautifully simple, but nicely to the point.

  8. Tony was so proud of taking that picture from HIS bike in front of me. All i knew was he was riding all crazy and applying his brakes more than seemed appropriate. By the time i figured out what he was up to – it was too late to swerve out of the way.

    ~
He took that shot from HIS bike?! Holy crap, I love it (and him) even more now!!!

    Great text conversation. That’s hilarious!

You are our go-to back-up emergency picture supplier (along with my cousin, see above, and her husband)!

Thankgawd I have this type of wonderful support team. :P

  10. Pics with Barb? Can’t wait! You are having such a fun summer so far. (So says I, who wishes I could be doing the same.) :)

    • Ha! I just saw you and Barb on Facebook! Preemptive picturing. :)

      Cheater! ;)
And yeah, we took several very bad phone photos, and a few with my camera too. But yes, we are having SO damn much fun!

  11. Love the text. That is freaking awesome and a possible trip to the captains office just might be worth it. ;)

It is a good card and a good reminder.

    • Didn’t know how good and then life jumped up and bit me just two hours later. I stewed, an stewed and then I thought, “Well, freak, Julie’s card is what is called for here:
“thank you for gifts that have come to me now. I gratefully accept them for the good of all.”

It could have ended badly — still might — hehe, but at least I’m going to go into this things with a thankful heart.

Thanks again Julie – Best radio E-ver!!

I’ve been having conversations lately about what our purpose in this lifetime, in these bodies, is all about. Helping Others is at the top of the list. When you tell me things like this, I am filled with joy, then I am validated. We ARE supposed to be supportive and loving to as many folks as possible.

Thank YOU, for applying these gifts, because without THAT part of the equation it kind of all falls to shit.

  12. Hee hee. Loved JD’s text. That has made my day!!!

The card spoke to me, maybe I should look around for disembodied voices.

  13. OMG, I seriously needed the laugh today. Thanks, JD!

I think WordPress has gremlins. A couple of times I’ve typed my post in Word and then did a copy/paste ’cause I just couldn’t deal with the garbage. Of course, bringing it in from Word means the spacing and such is crap and I have to clean it up, but at least the words are there. Also, once in awhile when it eats your post it puts it in the post listing as a draft. You probably already know that but it’s something I just figured out. :)

    ~
Sadly, no. Most times mine are not in the Draft folder. SOMEtimes yes, but the past few lost posts were not.

(Took me a while to see that too though, thanks.)

Great post by your Hanna today on the Supreme Court decision.
