Conversation I had with my Long Term houseguest just now, as I sat down to start this post:
Me ~ Emma!!! Gawdammit, why are there a million freaking pictures of Max in my camera?!
Her ~ I don’t know! Maybe he had a photo shoot before you got up today? Max! Did you use Nana’s camera?
Better than high fashion, I guess.
Seriously, it’s a good thing I love them both. (And really, I do. I’m just not a fan of discovering memory card surprises, like dozens upon dozens of shots featuring the same damn dog…. napping.)
So, again from our Empress, here (above) is your Daily Dog. (With plenty of new “stock” archives saved for me to draw from at a later date.)
What I really wanted to talk about this evening is energy. There’s an odd pattern of it swirling around us right now. I’ve heard reports that it feels like Mercury Retrograde, a full moon, sun spots/solar storms, or just the worst case of mixed messages and unexplained emotions ever. We ARE coming up on a Full phase, true, but this appears to be in addition to that. I don’t have an explanation, or even a reason, other than, it’s planetary and Universal, in nature. And it’s effecting all of us.
The sign from our cards is like a respite for our messed-with energies. Kinda like recess for our souls.

While I walked today I had my music going, and still, every time I use this tiny electronic device, I am thankful that it was invented, and that I have one.
Also, I was noticing small details. Like the decorative markings on light poles in Tugman Park. I go through here every day, except for pool days, and I didn’t even realize there were flowers part way up.
In one neighbor’s yard they have three separate colors of lilacs. Again, not something I’ve ever noticed before, and yet I walk past this spot at least twice a week. Not sure WHY these small observations are part of our message today, but they are. I won’t be questioning any of it. Merely including the information into my day.
Last order of business is that I had the chance earlier to read a few pages from our Exceptional Life book. Here’s the important part:
“If you live within a world of discontentment, you will find it wherever you go. Only by changing your consciousness will you start to see positive results in your life.”
Right before this Louise is telling Cheryl about a man she knew who was super miserable in his job. Not his field of work, but in his current physical location of where he had to show up to, and most of the people he had to be with. She helped him with some affirmations and he said them, like several times a day. In the end, it all turned out beautifully, because ya know, it’s Louise and Cheryl, they do that.
The reminder for me is that I need to NOT slip back into my self-criticizing default setting, because then I think negatively and it becomes sabotaging for all the positive work I’ve been doing. Constantly repeating our loving phrases is the best way to turn any sort of not-productive situation around. Add in some pleasing music and we’ve got ourselves the ideal way to allow our solutions to arrive in just the right way, at just the right time.
