Heaping Healthfulness.

As I sat down here tonight (already belated due to a nationally televised sporting event) I received a phone call.  From our Empress, and Honey Graham (and Max too), with a metaphysical situation which needed to be addressed NOW!

No problem, we did the best we could, but this put me in a bit of a time crunch.  Just sayin’ that, how I prioritize shit in my life, kids and family do come first and as much I adore my JulieLanders, sometimes you guys get (gently and longingly) bumped to a lower ranking.  So, this post will be the bare minimum.

(On a side note, I don’t know how many of you watched the game, but I very much enjoyed the half-time show.  Songs that I can sing along with are aways a plus.)

This is a picture Dan took today, while standing on our back deck.  I am down there, in the bike lane.  I asked him to use HIS computer to zoom in and crop out all that is not me.

Can you see me now?

For those of you who like directional exactness, I’m pedaling north on West Amazon.  Starting tomorrow (fingers crossed) he’ll get to join me!  No, we still can’t find his bike (it COULD be in our garage….).  My father loaned him one (which had been safely stashed in the barn, only slightly dusted with hay and alfalfa) that he used to ride around on job sites (like when he helped rebuild this place).  Dad’s lungs aren’t doing really well this winter, so he’s doesn’t feel as though he’ll be marathon biking any time soon.

The weather guessers are saying we probably won’t get rain until Tuesday, which means that if all goes well, he and I can make it a delightful, mostly-dry-except-when-intended, Doubled Up Moonday: five cycling miles followed by an hour of swimmy exercisey time.

Staying water themed, our card today has as lovely illustration.  It is also very similar to the message we got when I had to lecture us all about not setting aside any of these draws simply because of the wording, because of how definitions are often done in basic foundational language.  Don’t toss this one out either, it will still have merit, even if it might not feel that way upon first glance.

(It’s one of Doreen’s decks, so get ready with your substitution vocabulary.)

“Healing Heart  ~

You’re a powerful healer.  Keep up the great work!

Deep within your heart, you are aware of your healing abilities.  Perhaps you have received feedback from others about the way that your words or touch have helped them heal.  By drawing this card, you are urged to take your healing work to the next level.  You are also asked to purify your diet and thoughts so that higher frequencies of healing energy can flow through you.

By opening up to the next level, you will notice a shift in the people or situations that come to you for help.  You may find the number of healing opportunities increasing, or your clients may display a greater understanding of spirituality.

Heaven wishes to support your healing work completely.  If you would like to further your eduction, work in a healing center, or increase your income, just ask . . . and then be open to receiving.”

What popped into my head as I was typing this was that I could share an example of  how this might be interpreted by someone who is not usually considered a “healer” in the cultural sense of how that word has come to be generally used and accepted.  I’ll use our, near and dear to my own heart, law enforcement folks.

In the course of their days they will come across a vast number of people, individuals who are NOT at their best.  What if 103 mentions, perhaps in passing, that he has an uncle who has found great success with AA, and someone who has been struggling with addiction (of any type) hears this.  Let’s say it’s the third time a 12 Step Program has been spoken of in his/her presence.  THAT may be the catalyst s/he needs to seek help, and in the long run, begin a course of healing and life improvement.

Perhaps 536 pulls a suspended driver over and has to give him a ticket for no insurance.  This guy might have looked at that citation and fine as the kick in the pants he needed to finally get his proverbial shit together so that his new born baby will grow up with law-abiding parents who hold down jobs and make a better life for themselves.

And finally, there’s always the chance that 540 is called out for a hostage situation, wherein she negotiates with a desperate individual, saving lives right, left, and center, because her compassion has reached out in a healing manner so that this particular circumstance is resolved in a peaceful and safe way for all involved.

See?  None of them are traditionally considered healers, and yet in their day-to-day interactions,  all three of them COULD be helpful to such a degree that a healing will occur.  If we apply this message to what the rest of us do, simply connecting to others with open hearts and loving souls, our exchanges with anyone we encounter will be just as beneficial.
