We had a full moon. This morning. At 10:44 a.m. My time. Yeah, I should really look ahead at these things. Let’s blame Mercury. For a few more weeks anyway.
I had a lovely afternoon with my buddy Karen (who comments here periodically under a very clever computer name that is a play on words, and that I can never remember how to spell). Here’s our history: she was my first child’s first (and only) preschool teacher, for Karen’s first preschool class. We bonded instantly. Partly because we were some of the youngest people in the room (aside from the preschoolers) and we are highly irreverent. And sarcastic. We farted around today, going from air-conditioned place to air-conditioned place. Making fun of everything in sight. It was fab. (I brought my camera, but forgot to use it. Let’s blame Mercury. Again.)

The Phoenix ~ 29 ~ resurrections, surrender to change.
We have drawn this card today to celebrate our journey of ensuring our ultimate success. As our Ally, this path is made true even if it appears that we’ve just passed through a metaphorical experience of death or are currently enduring a perception of failure.
Death and rebirth are related when we enter the realm of the Phoenix. Seen in this light, nothing truly dies, but rather changes from one ending directly into new beginnings. The Phoenix is constantly reinventing itself and rises up whole and new and even more powerful with every death it experiences.
Even if no failure is involved right now, this is a sign that a complete overhaul of our circumstances is imminent. It is time to move on and try new things. We have headed into a period of leaving the old behind. A celebration of new life is called for.
Update, twenty minutes later.
I keep forgetting to remind folks to check the tweets. Also, I promised my Hurricane that I would make some reminders for everyone to click on her blogs. In case, ya know, you haven’t hit that “subscribe” button for us both. Don’t want to miss any late breaking news from my overly political daughter do you?
